Wild raisin (Viburnum cassinoides)

That photo was taken May 16, 2008 on Wilton Crescent, the other side of Brown's inlet. This shrub has leaves similar in texture to hobblebush, though not as round. That is, they are thick and rough with more relief - as if embossed. The flowers are known to have a nasty smell and they do. I find it takes some sniffing to locate it, as if not every flower has it. But when it hits, it is bad.
